Meet Cassie - Recovery Coach & Supporter of Real Change
“Recovery isn’t just about stopping something — it’s about starting again, with clarity and control.”
About Cassie
I’m Cassie Kane — a specialist recovery coach with a background in drug and alcohol coordination and over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families through complex personal change.
I’ve worked at the intersection of treatment, aftercare, burnout, and long-term emotional recovery. That experience has shaped a coaching approach that is trauma-informed, emotionally intelligent, and grounded in both lived and professional insight.
I now work with clients navigating more than just substance use — many are managing sustained stress, high-functioning burnout, neurodivergent demands, or the hidden weight of supporting others.
My role isn’t to “fix” you. It’s to offer structured, confidential space to think clearly, act deliberately, and move forward with confidence — whether you’re working through sobriety, regaining your identity, or learning how to support someone else.
Change isn’t linear — but with the right support, it becomes possible, sustainable, and self-led.
My Journey
-
This early exposure inspired a deep appreciation for all things flight-related. Alongside this passion, I also became aware of the high-pressure, fast-paced nature of the aviation industry.
Over time, and through my own personal journey, I’ve come to understand just how demanding this environment can be. This insight has shaped my mission: to support aviation professionals in managing the unique challenges they face - particularly when it comes to mental health, stress, and substance misuse.
-
Over the years, I’ve developed a set of core skills that are especially relevant to those working in aviation. These include:
· Helping individuals recognise and manage harmful coping strategies such as substance misuse or burnout.
· Creating personalised care and recovery plans that include ongoing aftercare, ensuring long-term support and guidance.
· Providing confidential advice and education to those around the individual, whether friends, family, or colleagues, so they can better understand and support their loved one’s path to recovery.
-
My training is extensive and covers a wide range of areas, including motivational interviewing, behaviour management, risk assessment, and suicide prevention. I also have specialised knowledge in issues such as bullying in the workplace, domestic abuse, and the impact of trauma. In addition, I bring both professional and lived experience in supporting people with neurodiverse needs and promoting equality in high-pressure environments.
My goal is simple: to help aviation professionals face their life challenges with confidence and dignity, without having to step away from the careers they’ve worked so hard to build. Whether someone is dealing with substance misuse, emotional stress, or just feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to provide the guidance and tools they need to keep flying higher.
My Goals
Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all — and meaningful change doesn’t happen on a script. My goal is to offer structured, confidential support to help individuals and families navigate the tension between coping and actually thriving.
Whether you’re managing the impact of substance use, emotional fatigue, neurodivergent pressures, or simply a season of transition, my work is designed to help you regain clarity, capacity, and forward momentum — without overwhelm.
